1 head iceberg lettuce, chopped
1 can mandarin oranges
4 green onions
1/2 C dried cranberries
1/2 C slivered almonds
3 T sugar
Coat almonds with sugar over medium head (stirring constantly). When coated sufficiently, remove from heat. Combine all salad ingredients.
Dressing:
In a blender combine,
1/4 C oil
2 T apple cider vinegar
2 T sugar
1 T fresh parsley
dash of salt and pepper
3 dashes Tabasco sauce
Mix into salad just prior to serving.
**my friend adds more oranges, almonds, onions and cranberries - and uses less sugar to coat the almonds.
